where is it exactly? it needs to be in /www or /public_html. The directions mean you need to put it in the root of your webspace.
I also think its in incorrect file format as when I try to call
http://www.blueuniverse.co.uk/favicon.ico
I get a nice red X.

I get a nice little blue planet type logo thing when I type in favicon.ico like you showed me in the link. It is in the public_html bit
Brian when you say that do you mean you can see it in the address bar or that the fishfreek link worked?

The blue sphere with arrow flying round it?
Yeah I can see it because I have Mozilla Firebird!
I thoght you are supposed to have a
in the head section that specifies the icon location, not sure though.

I run IE6 and i dont see a thing. When i go to your URL plus favicon.ico I get a red X. When i visit my own site and enter that I see my favicon.ico image so i know its not my browser.

IE is notoriously bad at favicon\'s - even though I think it was an MS idea in the 1st place!

Any idea why this might be
It says all you need to do is put the favicon.ico file in your home directory and it should work
