So is it ready for prime time?

Sheesh, I hope all the comings and goings are correct. If not, let me know what may not be exactly right, right now.

Actually, I would not mind adding a few more... Zeal, About, JoeAnt, Skaffe, goguides, websavvy.

Wow!  That\'s great stuff Doug!

The \"Supplies ______ Receives Paid Results\" yellow dots is almost impossible for me to see on my monitor (in the legend at least).  I would suggest a darker color for contrast (or a lighter background color for the legend).

It would be great to have a \"pause\" button so that I could examine all the links closely.  It\'s hard to do when they are disappearing and reappearing.

WOW! That\'s all I can say!!! It\'s simply outstanding

The only thing I\'d suggest Doug, is have your programmer add your copyright to the Flash itself. If it\'s not on there, other people can get your flash file by making the copy from their HD temp files in: C:\\WINDOWS\\Temporary Internet Files\\Content.IE5\\

If you don\'t put your copyright on it, someone else will rip it.

A few suggestions (maybe for v2):

1) Shouldn\'t the line in the legend animate between \"Supplies\" and \"Receives\"
2) I think the lines should have arrows showing direction of flow - if you do this, provide the option to switch off the path animations
3) I think it would be really good if when you selected, say, Google, you could see all the direct inputs to Google as well as all the direct outputs from Google (i.e. so you see the effect of DMOZ on Yahoo)
4) Taking that one step further, when you select any engine it would be good if you could see the entire family tree (ancestors and descendants) of the syndication channels for that engine
5) Put checkbox [functionality] against the four items in the legend so each can be switched on and off at will

LOL Great suggestions!

I don\'t quite understand #3 and 4 though. Please explain further.

My guy can do anything so it will happen if we write it.

hmm. I\'m wondering if I couldn\'t have another link on the left that says \"Others\", and then have a different chart with other ones? Mostly would be other directories and could have whether it\'s free submit or paid or both or whether you become an editor to submit or whatever?

Bernard, that\'s why you can click the links on the left to see each one better.

Good suggestion on the yellow as it is kind of hard to see.

Good point Deb. I\'ll tell the graphics person (like we don\'t know who it is) to stick that in.

Doug, yes, I saw that, but the programmer in me knows that each page/link needs to be checked as it is possible to make a mistake in one place and not another.

I believe that Looksmart now provides (secondary?) results for Lycos.  They soon will be dropped from MSN, so your chart will need updating in that respect inthe near future....

Yes, I agree. I wonder how a \"pause\" could work?

And yes, it will need updating... probably many times over the next year.

Great chart, Doug!
Ditto to what Bernard said about the reading the yellow dots for the paid results\' legend. Also, just for consistency sake, capitalize the \'p\' in paid.

Doug, actually adding a pause is not hard. There\'s an option in Flash to add events, the event can be on-mouseover a pause can be triggered, and there\'s even ways to put in the length of the pause. I\'ve done that on a few things in Flash before, and it\'s pretty easy. I\'m sure your programmer already knows how to do that.

I mean just look at what he\'s done so far with your chart! It\'s AWESOME!!!

Definitely a nice piece of work Doug! I want a co-branded one for the SEO Consultants Directory. Where do I sign up?
